It takes a couple of nights before he feels David fall asleep. Then, it's just a matter of setting up a small dream for the two of them to talk in.
He'd promised, of course, that he wouldn't pry and he won't. If there's one thing that John knows better than anyone, it's the value of privacy. That's why he sets things in his own cabin, in the lounge, and will gently tug David in once he's fully asleep.
[ She sounds pretty pleased. Not with herself, just... pleased. She likes David. Or at least, she's concerned about him and now she gets to do it professionally. ]
Hey, David. I'm sure you saw the announcement? How do you feel about meeting up to see how we want to proceed for the month.
[It's been a few days. Hanna isn't quite sure what to do about the loss of Conrad, Caleb...they'd been in his cabin, standing in their respective seals, he'd made sure they were good, beefier than he might normally make them and then they were just gone.
The only thing that made him feel any better about it was that they just seemed to fade out of existence where they stood rather than being stuck and pulled painfully like he thought might happen if it only half worked. But still, neither man remained on board and he felt entirely responsible.
The call that comes through is quiet, Hanna laying in bed, staring at the ceiling with it's chipping plaster, fidgeting as he puts the call through. He doesn't want to bring it up but he has to.]
Heyyy, Terminator?
Hope you got some rest, bud...I just wondered if you wanted to stop by? Have a chat?
[It takes all of him to not just fold immediately and apologize for his failure but he's learned a little... those are better left done in person.]
She comes into their now-shared cabin with her arms full, kicking the door behind her. In said arms is a stack of two or three large boxes, and on top of that, what appears to be a boxed set of DVDs.
She's heading for the desk in the middle of the floor and-
They've been (effectively) living together for the last few weeks since returning to the ship and it's been... good.
Henry has been spending more and more time with his emotions turned on, but she's noticed one thing that she can't quite figure out:
The way he stares at the couch sometimes.
She could profile him, but she doesn't want to. Doesn't want to find out that way. It's not that she won't; she has. But there's something so fragile about his eyes when he looks-
The next time he does it, that's when she reaches a hand over and takes one of his in hers; it's something they've done more and more, a way of connecting before interacting, giving him more traction. Her eyes flicker over to where his had been.
"Do you have an issue with the couch, by the way? I've noticed, every once in a while, you look over there with... I don't want to call it a 'funny' look, but I'm not sure what it is. Can you talk about it?"

I'm Maggie. Although Grace is my middle name still, so it's not wrong.
I'm not trying to push, but I'm around if you'd like to talk or get to know each other.
